Engy Albasel Neville

Fools rush in promo

Today I have the lovely Engy Neville whose anthology story is about Amy McKenzie, who works at fashion mag, Glitz, in Los Angeles. Amy applies for and gets her dream job in New York. But can she leave her trouble behind?

1. Do you listen to music when you write?

Yes. I didn’t realize I gravitated towards specific music with each book till after each book was done. I listened to the Gipsy Kings non stop while writing A Leap In Time, meditative music while writing Loved In Time and with Fool’s Luck, I listened to Top 40.
2. If you weren’t a writer, what would you be?
I would be a yoga teacher for sure. I practice yoga on my own whenever I can and it helps me stay in the moment and maintain a healthy perspective. I love the euphoric feeling of pure inner joy after I complete a class and only wish I can hold on that feeling all the time.
3. If you could play a character from a TV show, who would it be?
That’s tough one … I flip flop between two characters so I’ll cheat and include both. The first is Wonder Woman. I mean, who could resist those wrist bracelets blocking bullets. And second is Jaclyn Smith’s character from Charlie’s Angels. She was a bad ass but did it with class and in heels.  LOL! .
4. If you could time travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and what time frame?
I would go to ancient Egypt and meet Nefertiti. I find her so fascinating and despite her influence on ancient Egyptian history, she remains a mystery to many.
5. How do you pick the topics for your blog?
I rely on gut instincts for everything I do. If there’s a topic that’s nagging at me, I take it as a sign to explore it further and if it continues to pop in my mind, I write about it.
